The Process
-
In this initial phase, I get to know you and your property. I conduct site surveys and learn your design goals, timelines and budget. I will create a detailed brief and identify your design preferences.
-
Concept Design initiates the creative process. I’ll develop layouts, define lighting plans and begin to explore the design direction including paint, paper, fabrics, furnishings and finishes. Concepts will be approved before moving on to the next phase.
-
During the design development phase, technical designs such as joinery elevations, bespoke elements and bathroom specifications are produced, along with schedules and specifications required to support the execution of the design.
-
Suppliers and contractors are sourced, quotations gathered and trades scheduled. I work closely with contractors on site as necessary to enable successful implementation of the design.
-
Procurement runs alongside phases 3 and 4. Following budget and product approval, all furniture, electrical items and, fabrics and materials needed to complete the scheme are ordered. I keep track of lead times, deliveries, quality control and manage all aspects of the FF&E (furniture, fixtures and equipment).
-
I inspect completed works and oversee installation of FF&E, window treatments and decorative items.
The project is signed off and I leave you to enjoy your new home!
